P2P

File sharing is the ability to send files to one person to another through the internet or a network on a computer. P2P File sharing is the sharing of files such as media, books, movies, music, etc. There are programs and sites that connect people around the world so everyone can access these files without needing to purchase them. Based on the NY Times article, "Should Online Scofflaws Be Denied Web Access?," there is a problem that the Internet access and P2P File sharing to everyone is illegal. It is illegal because of the copying of music, movies, games, etc. Pirating goods is illegal and some countries are cracking down on the downloads. However, because of the Euripean Parliament, they adopted a nonbinding resolution calling Internet access a fundamental freedom and that it could not be restricted by a court of law. New Zealand who had a law for the pirating had to suspend their law.
