Twitter is a social media platform in which people from all over the world can communicate with each other. People follow each other to see updates in each others lives. However, in Blackboard, usually it's a group of students in a class that discuss homework or projects. Twitter discussions are thoughts you want to put out into the world, and people can comment and retweet. Blackboard discussions are almost forced upon you to post because of homework or projects. The difference between a twitter discussion and an in-class discussion is the freedom to speak your mind. An in-class discussion has a specific topic to speak about while a twitter discussion can be anything.
